CLASSES
A class I have developed through my trainings in Australia and London together with my professional dance background to strengthen, lengthen and fire up every muscle of your body.
A centre warm up, then using small hand held weights we perform a section to focus on upper body, moving to the barre for lower body work finishing with core work & a stretch on the floor.
Some optional cardio aspects and a continuing flow of movement to keep you moving and release your inner ballerina.
Power Barre
Cardio Barre
Incorporating my personal training knowledge into a barre class, I created a session divided into 3 workouts consisting of short intervals of barre exercises.
With less focus on the sequencing & choreography, we are able to dig deeper into our challenge zone & get our heart rate up! The speed, level & intensity is up to you, so a great class for beginners or those returning to barre after injury/holiday/a break who need to up their fitness.
A flowing warm up connecting to breath, 3 workouts & a long deep stretch to finish.
Strength & Technique
Predominantly at the barre, this class focuses on technique by taking things slow & steady.
High repetitions & long holds in balances will build muscular endurance & really help you connect with your muscles - leading to improved posture awareness & poise.
Suitable for beginners due to the gentle tempo & lots of options given so that sequences can be made more intense if needed.
The perfect introduction to barre or for the ballet fan who wants to move gracefully but feel strong.
Adult Ballet
Embrace the love of classical ballet & classical music in these low impact classes designed to be suitable for those with some ballet knowledge.
Working to engage the muscles which support your posture & bring. Sense of ease to daily movement through the art of ballet.
Centre work warm up, barre sequencing to strengthen, finishing with more centre work.
Ballet shoes required, comfortable clothing which won’t catch your feet (so no baggy trousers) or full leotard tights situation welcome!
If you’re interested but want to refresh your ballet repertoire then I happily offer a free 1-2-1 Zoom session prior to attending, in which we will revise the positions, discuss any injuries or limitations you may need adjustments for & give you a boost of confidence!
Private / small group sessions
Using Zoom or the space at Station Mill I’m thrilled to offer small group or personalised barre sessions.
Should you struggle to attend classes due to work or family life let me know if a Zoom session would suit you. Also great for anyone travelling wanting to maintain their training, or those returning after injury & needing to incorporate some more rehab centred sequences.
